What sort of RP do you engage in?
I tend to like more social and slice of life RP. I will happily spin more complicated plots out of casual RP but only after discussing boundaries and touching base on potential outcomes with the people involved.Do you do Romantic or ERP?
I am open to flirtatious RP and will escalate to Romance and ERP if all parties are interested. Check the Limits section -> for relevant info.Your character timeline does not fit my character timeline, but I still want to RP together. What do we do?Ideally, we negotiate. Certain events in Altansarani's backstory are fixed, but I am happy to work out a mutual continuity we can play together in.

  • I do not RP with minors, neither players nor characters. I wish you all the best, see you in a few years.

  • This character is queer, she always will be. Do not ask me to play her as straight or cisgender.

  • Altansarani's default world view is Polyamory. You are welcome to try and convince her to be monogamous, but you will have to make the argument IC.

  • I believe in negotiated consent. If part of a scene is making someone uncomfortable anything and everything can be paused, faded out, retconned or otherwise altered so everyone feels safe. This can be post scene, mid scene, even something previously agreed to that turned out to not sit so well. Safety and mutual enjoyment are paramount.

Roleplay Hooks

  • Child of the Steppe, Altansarani was born on the Azim Steppe. Over her life she has traveled through many parts of Othard, into parts of Doma and often passed through Kugane.

  • The Odtsetseg Tribe, Altansarani comes from a small OC tribe of Xaela, made up of the discontent middle children of the Orinir, Dorthal and Qestir Tribes.

  • Far Flung Relations, Altansarani is not the only traveler in her family. Though she looks every inch her father's Xaela daughter, her mother was an exiled member of House Haillenarte. She had fled eastward to Hingashi after her father had been convicted of Heresy.

  • Scion of the Seventh Dawn, While not the eponymous "Warrior of Light" Altansarani is an adventurer recruited by the Scions. She also possesses the Echo.

  • The Firmament, Altansarani is an Alchemist of some skill. She can often be found helping Lord Francel Haillenarte in The Firmament.

  • Local Venues Altansarani works at The Burrow as a bartender and courtesan. She is also a frequent patron at The Sinner's Sanctum and The Growling Yurt.

  • In Shiva We Trust, Atansarani fought alongside Lady Iceheart and her Heretics.

  • Brume Justice, Altansarani joined with several other Dark Knights to hunt corrupt officials and knights throughout Ishgard.

  • Drinking from the Fire Hose Altansarani has consumed some Aether from Tiamat. It leads to a number of strange aetheric and behavioral qualities.

  • Ancient History, Altansarani is interested in the ancient magic of Eorzea. Chiefly Mach, grudgingly Allag and Ampador by proxy.

General RP Timeline

Before EorzeaAltansarani is born the daughter of a Xaela chief and Ishgardian exile. She grows up on the Azim Steppe alongside her family. However, when news of the impending Battle of Carteneau reaches them Altansarani's mother returns to Eorzea to stand against Garlemald. She does not return from the battle.Ul'dah and the ScionsFive years later Altansarani, now an adult and fully fledged warrior of the Steppe, decides to travel to Eorzea to learn what has become of her mother. She begins in Ul'dah, where she knows her mother once studied Thaumaturgy. There, she is recruited into the Scions by Thancred Waters.The Bloody Banquet and Lady IceheartAltansarani escapes northward to Ishgard, where she crosses paths with Ysayle. Though she does not join the heretics instantly it does not take much of seeing Ishgard to convince her. This is especially true after she speaks with Sidurgu Orl and discovers the fate some of her fellow Xaela found in Ishgard.The Dragonsong War and Restoring IshgardAltansarani does not join her fellow Scions in defending Ishgard until after Nidhogg's defeat. Instead she contents herself with harassing The Convictors, traveling Dravania stalking corrupt clergy through the streets of The Brume.She joins the Scions is Azys La, and later in Idyllshire during the Alexander incident.As Archbishop Thordan's numerous injustices are brought to light many prisoners locked beneath The Vault are released. Among this number is Altansarani's grandfather, Alexandre Haillenarte. Through connecting with her grandfather Altansarani elects to make her Eorzean home in Ishgard, in spite of all that has happened there. She endeavors to help her distant cousin, Lord Francel, with his restoration if The Firmament.A Bloody HomecomingAs the Scions set their sights on liberating Ala Mhigo Altansarani joins them. After narrowly surviving the battle of Rhalgr's Reach she follows Alphinaud and Alisae to Doma and the Steppe, determined to rally her people agains the Garleans.

NPC Connections

These are more fleshed out versions of Altansarani's relationship with various NPCs. They are strictly opt-in and kept vague for most public roleplay.Ysayle Dangoulain, Altansarani didn't just fight for Lady Iceheart, she loved her. She was taken in by Ysayle's ideals of peace and justice. An affection which only grew as the pair spent more time together.Sidurgu Orl, Sidurgu is a dear friend to Altansarani. She shares his pain for the loss of his tribe. While he helps to teach her the path of the Dark Knight, she teaches him about Xaela traditions.Francel Haillenarte, Altansarani's cousin on her mother's side. They share something of a friendship after the events of Witchdrop.Shanoa, Formerly the companion to Quickthinks Allthoughts, the paradoxical couerl sometimes follows Altansarani around.Magnai Oronir, Magnai is Altansarani's uncle on her father's side.
